Robert Marshall.
Every now and then, someone inspirational comes along and tells their story. Robert is just such a person. In this short video, he tells how he transformed himself twice in 12 years.
Once from a successful businessman with the usual trappings: company car, nice house, lots of disposable income, ideal family to an alcoholic who lost it all – and was one step away from making a fatal decision.
The second time, he picked himself up using universal principles gained through his studies in psychotherapy. It sounds easy as he explains it, such is his calm and reassuring manner, but it was a long road with many off ramps.
Now he has taken the theory of Carl Rogers and updated it to help address the many issues that humanity faces in the modern world. It’s quite a challenge, but it’s one he has taken on through the Shape Wellbeing programme and a simple process he describes as:
- Listen
- Follow the Feeling
- Reflect (with Empathy)
- Empower
He is confident that by following this simple process, along with the 7 Key Principles promoted within Shape Wellbeing and their series of workshops, anyone can improve their wellbeing.
